Summer 2 0 1 1: Part II

Enemy territory! The 3rd week of July was my trip to Calgary to visit my cousins, my uncle, and my grandparents. After an irritatingly long drive (10 hours?!), we finally found their house in the middle of a maze – literally, the neighbourhood was build like an outward spiral. We got there around 5:30 on Tuesday, July 19.

The full day we spent in Calgary, my parents and I visited – count ’em – 5 malls in Calgary while my brother stayed behind to play with my cousins. My dad was (and still is) looking for a storefront, so he decided to look at the stores in Calgary, considering BC has the highest prices. (The gas prices: AB – $1.18/litre vs BC – $1.38/litre)

We didn’t find anything other than the fact that Calgary seemed to be entirely composed of highways. We also took a bunch of exits by accidents and some of the roads in Calgary was so new that our GPS (just updated on Monday) couldn’t find them.

We also went to the outside of Calgary’s Olympic Park.

Damned prairie wind.

Thursday, we went to Calaway Park with our cousins. I wore my Henrik Sedin shirt. Yes, on Flames territory. I didn’t get set on fire or run out of town, don’t worry.

in my Henrik Sedin shirt! That picture is of me being a pussy while my cousins go on a ride that I deemed too scary, or whatever. It went up and down exactly 11 times.

There’s a bunch more photos, but I’m too lazy.

On Friday, my parent and I ditched my brother again and we went to CrossIron Mills. It was an enormous mall. I left with a Agent P (from Phineas and Ferb) shirt from the Disney Outlet Store and a scarf from Claire’s.

On Saturday, we went to the Royal Tyrell Museum. You know, the dinosaur museum. We hiked and stuff outside after we walked through the museum. My grandma stole a cactus. The usual.

We left on Sunday. Before we left, my friend gave me a panic attack because she told me PNE callback interviews ALL took place on Saturday. Which wasn’t true.
